As an entomology curator and ecologist, Fez has studied functionally important insects in primary tropical forests and agricultural pastures. She’s on a mission to shine a light on the importance of taxonomy, natural history collections and primary biodiversity data in solving current and future global challenges.

Paco Cárdenas
A world expert on marine sponges for nearly 20 years, investigating their evolution, classification and chemistry, Paco has discovered and described more than 30 new species. In charge of the animal collections at Evolutionsmuseet, from blue whales to tiny worms, Paco is consistently stressing how crucial it is to properly identify and name species, as this is fundamental to clear communication and rigorous research.
